Sparring can be, not only anxiety producing, but also dangerous when approached in the wrong way - It is therefore vital to start students off on the right track. Too much too soon, or too much intensity early on can hamper the development of a student, shatter confidence, and even turn students off sparring permanently.
This is where this workshop comes in: the workshop is focused on teaching sparring in a progressive, safe, and non-confrontational way, through specific drills and a measured psychological approach.Â

This workshop will emphasize continuous 'dojo' sparring rather than competitive sparring, however the pedagogical approach is good for all forms of sparring.

How to develop sparring progressively for yourself and/or your students. How to introduce sparring safely and effectively for skill development and confidence. Numerous practical and easy to learn sparring drills that are safe, challenging, and fun.
