April 2025, GKCglobal conducted it's honbu dojo international gasshuku in Carlsbad, CA USA. Participants from Europe, Canada, and across the US were in attendance. This video documents the three days of training: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, April 25-27, 2025.
Curriculum:
Part 1 (2 hours, 4 minutes)
Friday - Junbi undo, Sanchin kata & related exercises, Sanchin structural drills, Tensho kata, Tensho flow drill.
Saturday morning - Junbi undo, Sanchin, Kihon, Kakie, Hojo undo (Chi'shi, Nigiri-game, Kongoken, Sashi-ishi, take/tetsutaba), Kakie technique.
Part 2 (2 hours, 30 minutes)
Saturday afternoon - Sanchin, Kaishugata (Gekisai ichi & Ni, Saifa, Seiyunchin, Seipai & bunkai, Kururunfa & bunkai.
Sunday morning - Suri-ashi, Reigi & Seiza, Platform drills, Seiyunchin renzoku bunkai.
Sunday afternoon - Seisan kata & bunkai.
